What is a 'splash page'? Look it up. Explain what they are and how they are used. Find an example of a splash page in Google Images. Save the image to you computer and then upload it to your blog post.

A splash page is an image that appears while a game or program is loading. It is the page of the website the user sees first before entering into the main content of the website. These pages, usually used by large applications, notify the user the the program is in the process of loading. Splash pages enhance the look or feel of a website and are usually visually appealing.

What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is. Do you agree or disagree with the writer?

I think this teacher has a very good point, and he is very passionate about his teachings and helping students succeed in their education. He is trying to say that school isn't all about academics it's about learning how to deal with all the hardships that come with it. The "main idea" is that the more we take the easy way out, the more we are setting ourselves up to fail later on in life. I agree with this because if students don't take challenging classes, don't show up to class, or don't turn in assignments will fail when they get into the real world. This was a really interesting blog to read!
